Something Stinky

Enzo sniffing in the grass

Enzo just found something stinky in the grass. I could not see anything, but he was getting ready to roll around in it. Fortunately, I was able to whisk him into the house before he could. That was a close one!

More Play for Enzo

Enzo playing at the park with his pals and a full size greyhound

Yesterday the NW Italian Greyhounds had a meet up in Stanwood at the NOAH Pet Rescue Center. Enzo and I made the trip down so he could play with his pals and get some exercise. He was a little bummed out that Rocco and Musso were not able to make it, but quickly found some other dogs he knew and made some new friends. It was a perfect day for playing and racing!

Friday Daze

Enzo is walking around in a daze this morning and no, he has not been eating poppies again. Last night our friend Camille came by for a visit and Enzo put on his Squirrel Hunter show in the yard. He was zipping back and forth, jumping, twirling and even busted out some classic iggy stunts. It was great fun, but he is worn out today and is taking it easy.

Meetings and Donuts

Enzo is feeling so good that I forgot all about his stomach problems yesterday. This morning he asked if we could go to the Donut House for our meeting this morning and I agreed. Once we were about half way there I remembered yesterday and since Donuts are not exactly good for me either,  I thought we might be in a little hot water if Karma came home to both of us sick this afternoon and turned us around. Well, Enzo is giving me the evil eye and silent treatment now! Hopefully it will go away after lunch.

Poppies

This morning I saw the strangest thing when I was taking pictures. Enzo was biting the dried tops of poppy flowers off and then spitting them out. He has been acting a little weird today and his stomach is upset, so I am hoping he did not eat one when I was not looking. I called the vet and they said he would not overdose from them. Thank goodness for that! I am going to keep a close eye on him today and make sure he is not doing any more foolish experimentation.

Easing into Monday

Enzo watching the yard full of yellow dandylions

Enzo had a great weekend! Saturday was his big play date with Rocco, Musso and his foster mom Sheila. Any time he gets to see Sheila, he goes right up and tries to give her a big kiss, so you know that he was excited to see her. Rocco and Musso are great play mates and completely wore Enzo out. I have never seen him go to sleep so fast as when we picked him up. Today he is getting back into the groove and is having fun chasing the birds and flying insects in the yard. He has a ball when the sun comes out!
