A New Plan

After two weeks of no Wednesday meeting, today was all business. Enzo has been furiously trying to rid the yard of squirrels, but has not been able to catch any yet. He is convinced that his lack of success is mainly due to my not being able to open the doors fast enough when he sees them through the window. The new plan called for installing fast opening remote controlled doors under every window and clearing the hunting path of any thing that could get in his way. Enzo tried to make it seem that there was more to his plan than the new doors, but the conversation always came back to them. Between you and me, I enjoy having a few squirrels romp around the yard from time to time. There is no way I am going to spend money on new doors.

Monday Sunshine

Enzo had a good weekend, but cut a knuckle on his foot while hunting squirrels which made me panic. He is fine and much tougher than I thought. This morning he relaxing in the sun and keeping an eye on the yard.

Changes in the Neighborhood

We had a major event on our morning walk today. The bushes and ivy in front of the Anacortes Senior Center parking lot was removed and Enzo is devastated. It was the major spot in the neighborhood for dogs to leave their “calling card” and was a favorite spot for him to find out what is going on in the area. To cap things off, when we took this picture Enzo was staring in disbelief in the middle of the driveway and we almost got run over by a big black SUV.

Wednesday Meeting in 3D

Italian Greyhound wearing 3D glasses and watching a squirrel on TV

I bought a new monitor this week and did not get it moved off of our conference table before Enzo started setting up for our meeting this morning. We decided to watch a little TV before getting started and ended up watching Mutant Squirrels from Planet Nut-Tron in 3D and completely blew off the meeting. This movie really pumped him up to do a better job of keeping the yard squirrel free.

Look Out

We had a solicitor stop by the house a few days ago and gave Enzo two of those little dog bone treats. That is a pretty big deal in his world because I never give him that big of a treat and never give them those because they make his stomach upset, which of course he never remembers. He wanted to wait outside on the porch today just in case they will walk by again.
