Still Here

Yesterday Enzo received an email from his buddies Rocco and Musso. They were wondering if he was ok and where his pictures were. He is still here and we have been enjoying a busy summer. With the nice days we have been taking lots of walks, checking out new scenery and meeting new animal friends. Enzo is not very good at reminding me to post pictures and I have been preoccupied with other distractions. We may be off schedule, but will try to do a better job with the updates.

Monday Roller Coaster

Karma got back from her trip last night and Enzo was elated! This morning he was lapping up all the attention until she abruptly left for work. Now he is down in the dumps, sitting below my chair and won’t even look at me. That is one depressed dog.

Set the Easy Pace

Enzo was pooped last night from all his work and has decided to take things a little easier today. He is starting to get depressed that Karma is still not home. Time to get him out for another walk to keep him distracted.

Working to Forget

Karma left very early this morning on a work trip and rather than spend the whole day pouting and crying, Enzo has thrown himself into his work. He has been outside non-stop today keeping the squirrels out of the yard and watching for people getting to close to the yard. I had to sneak into the trees to get close enough for a picture this morning.

4th Watch

Enzo is on high alert for the fireworks this year and wants to make sure he does not miss any of the action. We love watching the big show together, but the noise gets to him after a while and is soon ready to hide under the covers and get some sleep.

Hot for a Monday

At this time of the day, Enzo is normally curled up in a blanket and trying to get some sleep. With our current NW heat wave of 80 degree weather, he is happy to just stretch out on his rug. Now that the world is warm again all he needs is softness.

Purple

Enzo’s stomach clock if off this morning and he is sure that it has been lunch time for the last hour and a half. He is driving me crazy trying to let me know that it is my clock which is not in sync, but I was able to lure him out into the yard with a treat so I could take this picture. He sure looks good with the color purple.

The Sweet Potato Kid

Enzo and I were going through his papers yesterday and took some time to research his lineage. We were able to go online and trace his roots back to the times of the wild west. It turns out his distant relative was none other than the famous Italian Greyhound, known far and wide as a foe of all squirrels, the Sweet Potato Kid!

Rock Wall

Last night Karma was out of town for work, so Enzo and I sat down for my usual guilty pleasure when Karma is away and we watched a rockumentary. That pretty much annoyed Enzo to no end. A bunch of self congratulatory old guys playing music that is too loud is not his thing at all. He was in a foul mood the rest of the night and into this morning. When it was time for a walk this morning, I decided that he would get to choose the route in order to cheer him up. We ended up by this awesome rock wall and he was pretty excited because he had heard that the family who are buying the house are real friends of the animals. +1 for the neighborhood!
