The Sweet Potato Kid

Enzo in a cowboy hat in front of a wood fence

Enzo and I were going through his papers yesterday and took some time to research his lineage. We were able to go online and trace his roots back to the times of the wild west. It turns out his distant relative was none other than the famous Italian Greyhound, known far and wide as a foe of all squirrels, the Sweet Potato Kid!

Rock Wall

Enzo next to a stone fence

Last night Karma was out of town for work, so Enzo and I sat down for my usual guilty pleasure when Karma is away and we watched a rockumentary. That pretty much annoyed Enzo to no end. A bunch of self congratulatory old guys playing music that is too loud is not his thing at all. He was in a foul mood the rest of the night and into this morning. When it was time for a walk this morning, I decided that he would get to choose the route in order to cheer him up. We ended up by this awesome rock wall and he was pretty excited because he had heard that the family who are buying the house are real friends of the animals. +1 for the neighborhood!

Last Minute

Enzo pointing his nose at the camera

Oops! I just realized what time it was and had to run and find Enzo so I could get a picture out in time this morning. He was on the back porch taking in the world.

A Better Kind of Monday

Enzo sleeping in the sun with room fan in the background

This morning we had some extra time after our walk and took a cup of coffee out on the porch. Enzo got some lap time in the morning sun. He thought that was a much better way to start the week then the usual rushing around to get ready in time.

It Could Have Been Chilly

Enzo on a pink towel on the dryer

We had a potential disaster this morning when I discovered our dryer would not start. This would not have been a big deal for normal dogs, but Enzo loves a warm blanket after his bath and he was very agitated knowing that he was due for a bath soon and there might not be a warm blanket to dry off in. Thankfully the repair man was able to get here quickly and all is well. Enzo was so excited that he wanted his picture taken on the dryer today to show his appreciation to all involved.

Something Stinky

Enzo sniffing in the grass

Enzo just found something stinky in the grass. I could not see anything, but he was getting ready to roll around in it. Fortunately, I was able to whisk him into the house before he could. That was a close one!
