The Italian Greyhound
We all appreciate the nice emails that were sent to Enzo with concern for his leg. Yesterday the Veterinarian checked him out and took an x-ray. It turns out that he sprained his wrist and should be good as new within two weeks. Even today his limp is better, but he is going to have to take it easy for a while. No extreme stunts or squirrel chasing. This morning he is watching “Chicken Run” in between his naps.
I don’t know what happened, but Enzo developed a limp this morning and now can not even stand on his front right paw. We were able to get an appointment at the Vet this afternoon and are just tying to keep him comfortable until then.
Enzo was suffering from his typical Monday blueness, so I thought why don’t we go outside, chase some flies and get his mind on a positive track. Instead of lifting his spirits it just made him annoyed with me. Oh well, I am sure things will turn around after some lunch.
I don’t know if it is the weather or something else, but Enzo is acting like it is Monday today. The poor little guy is just laying around and looking sad. Good thing the forecast is calling for some sunshine next week.
Well I made it back just in time for the Wednesday meeting. Enzo was ready to talk about his magazine. It sounds like there has been a lot of good feedback, but he is concerned about getting enough articles written and making sure that is makes enough money to buy treats.
Enzo is making his best velociraptor impersonation here. Why you ask? Because, as I write this, it is 15min past his lunch time and he is tired of hitting the snooze button on the stomach alarm. For the last hour I have had my head down in a project and this is what it took to get my attention.
Yesterday we all went to a Iggy get together. It was fun until it started raining which cut the party short. Enzo met this cute little guy who followed him around most of the day.
If you recall our last Wednesday meeting, Enzo wanted to start a magazine. Here is the cover for the test issue. We will have to wait and see if he can find any interest for it.
We had some left over chicken which Enzo ate with some scrambled egg and a bit of pear for breakfast. He is loving life today!
Enzo had big announcement at our meeting today. He wants to put out a new magazine. I tried to explain that print media is dying and a magazine about Italian Greyhounds would have a limited appeal, but he was not having it. He thought that he could compete on the grocery store aisles with the big names! Well, he does dream big, you have to give him that.
